Blind Assessment
Richly sweet, vibrantly bright. Pink grapefruit zest, cocoa nib, apricot, hazelnut, cedar in aroma and cup. Sweet-tart structure with pert acidity; delicately silky mouthfeel. The gentle finish centers around notes of apricot and cocoa nib supported by rich hazelnut and hints of cedar.

This coffee tied for the third-highest rating in a cupping of coffees submitted by North American roasters in business for two or fewer years for Coffee Review’s October 2019 tasting report. Produced by Benjamin Weiner at Finca Idealista entirely of the Caturra variety of Arabica and processed by the traditional wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying).
