Sweetly pungent, chocolate-toned. Dark chocolate, lightly scorched cedar, raisin, roasted hazelnut, lily-like flowers in aroma and cup. Round, gentle acidity; satiny mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates to raisiny dark chocolate in the resonant, gently drying finish.
This is a wet-processed or “washed” coffee, meaning the fruit skin and pulp were removed from the beans immediately after harvesting and before drying. Produced in the southern Colombia Department of Huila, one of the most respected of Colombia growing regions. King’s Koffee, a micro-roaster based in Allen, Texas, specializes in single-origin coffees roasted to order. King’s offers a small number of coffees at any given time, and the next selection is chosen once current selections sell out, ensuring freshness. For more information, visit www.kingskoffees.com.
A tactful darker-roasted coffee with deep chocolate notes throughout, complicated by raisin and sweet floral hints.
