Blind Assessment: Perfectly structured; pungent, juicy, deeply complex. Honey, lemon, blackberry, black cherry, intense narcissus-like flowers in aroma and cup. Rich, balanced acidity; plush, lively mouthfeel. Honey, lemon, berry, a hint of nut-toned cacao nib carry into a long, thoroughly flavor-saturated finish.
Notes: Certified organically grown and Fair Trade, meaning this coffee was purchased from small-holding farmers at a “fair” or economically sustainable price. Produced from trees of the heirloom SL28 and SL34 and the modern Ruiru 11 varieties and processed by the Rukira Wet Mill, one of several wet mills operated by the Othaya Farmers’ Cooperative Society. Kakalove Café is a nano-roaster located the small city of Chia-Yi in Taiwan that strives to procure and roast the finest quality coffee. Who Should Drink It: An extraordinary version of an extraordinary origin: intense and distinctive, yet poised, suave, balanced.
