Blind Assessment: Sweetly floral and delicately cocoa-toned. Honeysuckle, cocoa nib, Concord grape, agave, lemon-thyme in aroma and cup. High-toned structure with juicy, confident acidity; buoyant, lively, viscous mouthfeel. Honeysuckle and cocoa nib characterize the sweet finish.
Notes: This coffee tied for the second-highest rating in a cupping of coffees from Kenya for Coffee Review’s October 2020 report. Kakalove Café is a nano-roaster located in the small city of Chia-Yi in Taiwan that strives to procure and roast the finest quality coffee. The Bottom Line: A vibrant floral- and cocoa-toned Kenya cup, juicy and sweet, with a particularly appealing mouthfeel.
