Balanced, sweet-toned, pungent. Tart berry – strawberry, cranberry – cedar and multidimensional sweet and tart citrus in both aroma and cup. Smoothly rounded acidity; slightly syrupy, almost creamy mouthfeel. Bittersweet chocolate and citrus zest in the finish.
Produced from trees of the admired, Bourbon-derived SL 28 and SL 34 varieties as well as the hybrid Ruiru 11 cultivar by the Gitwe Farmer’s Cooperative Society. Water Avenue Coffee is a tiny roastery nestled next to the railway in the old Industrial Southeast quarter in Portland, Oregon.
