Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Richly floral, cocoa-toned. Magnolia, cocoa nib, pomegranate, molasses, marjoram in aroma and small cup. Syrupy-smooth mouthfeel; long, flavor-saturated finish. In three parts milk, cocoa notes are amplified and the tart fruit is balanced by sweet herbs and spice-toned florals.
Notes
A blend comprised of two coffees of the Geisha variety of Arabica, one from Colombia and one from Ethiopia, both processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Roasted for espresso applications. HWC Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster based in Taichung, Taiwan. For more information, visit www.hwcroasters.com.
Bottom Line
A complex, deeply floral espresso blend composed of Geishas from two different origins. Especially satisfying and cocoa-driven in three-parts milk.
