Blind Assessment

Tropical, spice-toned. Pineapple, marigold, maple syrup, cardamom, hazelnut in aroma and cup. Sweetly bright structure with lively, punchy acidity; plush, velvety mouthfeel. The finish is carried by notes of pineapple and hazelnut.

Notes

Produced by smallholding farmers near the Rantekarua Estate, from trees of the Catimor, S-795 and Typica varieties of Arabica, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). Certified USDA Organic. Founded in 2011 by Keith Hamrick and Jen Lovrak, Northbound Coffee Roasters is a family-owned and -operated roastery in Mount Shasta, California. Visit northboundcoffee.com for more information.

Bottom Line

A tropical and spice-forward natural Sulawesi, this cup offers vibrant pineapple notes layered with floral brightness and a nutty, maple-sweet finish.
