Blind Assessment: A tactful darker roast influences the profile. Deep, pungently sweet-toned aroma: dark chocolate, hints of raisin, gently charred cedar. Roast-muted acidity, smooth though rather lean mouthfeel. Dark chocolate pleasingly carries into cup and finish with continued cedar and raisiny fruit suggestions.
Notes: This coffee is certified Fair Trade, meaning it was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. Grown in the geographical region of Haiti that the indigenous Taino Arawak people referred to as Xaragua. Café Xaragua’s goal is to maintain and refine the traditional culture of Haitian coffee cultivation. Visit
Who Should Drink It: A fine Haitian coffee of the traditional round, sweet-toned style with its chocolaty tendencies developed by a darker roast style.
