Blind Assessment
Quiet but resonant. Hazelnut, oak, dark chocolate, wisteria-like flowers in aroma and cup. Round, balanced acidity; syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates around hints of hazelnut and chocolate in a rich, lasting finish.
Notes
The word ‘Waykan’ means ‘shining star in the night sky’ in the Mayan Q'qnjobal dialect from Huehuetenango. This coffee comes from small-holder coffee farmers in the Quiche growing region. The BeanFruit motto is a quotation from Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Visit www.beanfruit.com or call 601-624-2605 for more information.
Who Should Drink It
Lovers of comfort. A nicely balanced coffee with a quiet but engaging aromatic profile: nut, chocolate, a shimmer of flowers.
