Crisp, sweet-toned, subtle. Candied walnut, oak, myrrh, cranberry, a hint of dark chocolate in aroma and cup. Tart but round acidity; softly plush mouthfeel. Cranberry, oak and myrrh carry into a round, balanced finish.
Produced by Roberto Martinelli of the Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra and Villa Sarchi varieties of Arabica. This is a wet-processed or “washed” coffee, meaning the fruit skin and pulp were removed from the beans immediately after harvesting and before drying. Mojo Coffee is a New Orleans-based roaster specializing in ethically sourced, hand-sorted and small-batch-roasted coffees. It strives to highlight the innate sweetness and unique flavor characteristics of each coffee and focuses on ensuring consistency from seed to cup. Delicate but subtly strong-charactered Guatemala; the sweet walnut juxtaposed with tart fruit is unusual and appealing.
