Blind Assessment: Musky, rich, fruity. Red currant, lily, cocoa nib, oak in aroma and cup. Rich, crisp acidity; lively silky-smooth mouthfeel. Nuts and cocoa nib carry into the deeply resonant finish.
Notes: Produced by Benjamin Donado of Plan del Guayabo Estate and comprised entirely of coffee from trees of the celebrated SL28 variety of Arabica, the variety responsible for most of the great coffees of Kenya. This is a dry-processed or “natural” version, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or “washed” coffees. Kakalove Café is a nano-roaster located the small city of Chia-Yi in Taiwan that strives to procure and roast the finest quality coffee. Who Should Drink It : Those who value a fruit-driven, natural-processed Guatemala with deep, musky floral tones.
