Blind Assessment
Deeply sweet, rich-toned. Apricot, baker’s chocolate, honeysuckle, oak, agave syrup in aroma and cup. Sweet in structure with brisk acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. The finish consolidates to apricot and baker’s chocolate, with hints of honeysuckle.
Notes
Produced by Luis Pedro Zelaya entirely from trees of the admired Bourbon variety of Arabica. This is a wet-processed or “washed” coffee, meaning the fruit skin and pulp were removed from the beans immediately after harvesting and before drying. Temple Coffee is a quality-focused retail and wholesale specialty roaster active in Sacramento, California since 2005. Bottom Line
An impressive sweetness is complicated by a brisk edge in this big-bodied, apricot- and cocoa-toned Guatemala.
