Blind Assessment
Complex, fruit-forward, deep-toned. Black cherry, cantaloupe, wild honey, blood orange, lemon balm in aroma and cup. Juicy-bright, balanced acidity; vibrant, satiny-smooth mouthfeel. Resonant, long, integrated, harmonious finish.
Notes
Produced at Finca La Bolsa, entirely of the Pacamara variety of Arabica, and processed by the anaerobic natural method, in which the whole fruit is fermented in tanks with limited oxygen before drying, also in the whole fruit. Chuck’s Roast was founded by Chuck Patton, founder of Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, to bring rare, often elusive coffees to discerning coffee lovers. Bottom Line
A very pretty Guatemala Pacamara anaerobic natural with some fruit gravitas — almost like drinking brewed cascara but with the plush body and aromatics of a confident, unabashedly fruit-driven coffee.
