Blind Assessment: Simultaneously delicately sweet and richly pungent. Brown sugar, dark chocolate, apricot and peach, fresh-cut cedar, plum blossom in aroma and cup. Soft, balanced acidity; lightly syrupy, lively mouthfeel. Balanced, gently rich finish.
Notes: From the growing region surrounding the famous colonial city of Guatemala Antigua and produced entirely from trees of the heirloom Bourbon variety of Arabica. This coffee was awarded first-place honors for the Central America and Mexico category at the 2014 HarVee awards for retail-roasted renditions of green coffees imported to North America by Sustainable Harvest Specialty Coffee Importers. Who Should Drink It : A balanced, quietly complete coffee that gracefully embodies the softly pungent, sweetly seductive tendencies associated with the classic Guatemala Antigua cup.
