Blind Assessment: A very comfortable coffee. Sweetly balanced aroma: dark chocolate, raisiny fruit. In the cup low-toned, gentle acidity, roundly silky mouthfeel, continued dark chocolate and raisin notes supported by aromatic wood and perhaps a hint of lemon. The chocolate notes persist in the quietly rich finish.
Notes: Evaluated pre-ground. A blend of lighter and darker roasted coffees from Central and South America, all Certified Fair Trade, meaning these coffees were purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. Keurig/Green Mountain, formerly Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, pioneered single-serve capsule brewing in the United States with its Keurig brewing system, and remains one of the country’s leading large specialty roasters, offering a particularly wide-ranging variety of origins and roast styles. Who Should Drink It: A darker roasted, restful holiday coffee with excellent social credentials.
