Blind Assessment: Delicate, meadowy, complex, refreshing. Flowers and the pure taste of the coffee fruit – sweet, tart and slightly vegetal – dominate, with deeper, anchoring suggestions of molasses and pipe tobacco, the moist, fresh kind. Gentle acidity; very smooth, silky mouthfeel. Rich, flavor-saturated finish.
Notes: Certified organically grown and Fair Trade certified, meaning this coffee was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. As the name implies, Ethical Bean is a community-minded, environmentally-aware coffee roaster focused on certified Fair Trade and organic coffee. Who Should Drink It: An impressively pure coffee roasted to foreground its purity, as fresh as the lush hills of southern Ethiopia.
