Deeply pungent, chocolate-toned. Lightly scorched aromatic wood, nut-toned chocolate, apple, hints of blueberry and flowers in aroma and cup. Roast-rounded acidity; light, satiny mouthfeel. Chocolate and the scorched wood note carry into a drying finish.

Yirgacheffe is a coffee region in southern Ethiopia that produces distinctive coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Like virtually all Ethiopia coffees, this coffee is produced by villagers on small, garden plots interplanted with food and other subsistence crops. Caffè Luxxe is an Italian-inflected artisan roaster and retailer that emphasizes both its coffee knowledge and precision and its straightforward lack of pretension. Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy the crisp resonance and chocolaty complication generated by a moderately dark roast applied to a distinctive green coffee.
