Ethiopia Yirgacheffe – Green
|Review Date:||October 1999|
Blind Assessment: Smooth, embellished with delicate fruit and floral tones, and understated -- apparently too understated for the panel. The herbal and spice notes in the aroma faded and turned vaguely tealike as the cup cooled. "Nice but unremarkable," one panelist wrote. "The interesting aroma was somewhat lost in the cup."
Notes: Smooth, embellished with delicate fruit and floral tones, and understated herbal and spice notes. Yirgacheffe is the best-known and most celebrated of Ethiopia wet-processed coffees, famous for its often extravagant floral and citrus tones. From the 1998/99 crop.
