Blind Assessment

Complexly fruit-layered, floral. Star jasmine, wild raspberry, lychee, cocoa nib, sandalwood in aroma and cup. Juicy-bright acidity; plush, syrupy mouthfeel. The resonant finish centers around notes of cocoa-toned raspberry and sandalwood.

Notes

Southern Ethiopia coffees like this one are largely produced from selections of traditional Ethiopian landrace varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Processed by the natural anaerobic method in which the coffee is fermented in the whole fruit with limited access to oxygen before drying. Ironclad Coffee Roasters, a micro-roaster in Richmond, Virginia derives its name from its ironclad guarantee of top quality specialty coffee and dedicated customer service. For more information visit www.ironcladcoffee.com.

Bottom Line

A flavor-saturated anaerobic natural Ethiopia: harmonious, integrated, inviting and juicy.
