Blind Assessment: Remarkably clean-finishing dried-in-the-fruit profile. Opulently sweet but crisp: roses, nut, cocoa, molasses, black tea. Balanced, well-integrated acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Extraordinarily rich, sweet-toned, densely flavor-saturated finish.
Notes: This coffee is grown in the Guji area of southern Ethiopia's Sidama (previously Sidamo) province. This is a "natural" processed coffee, meaning that the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after removal of the fruit. Who Should Drink It: The aromatic fireworks of a fine dried-in-the-fruit Ethiopia with none of the fermenty downside. Splendid coffee.
