Blind Assessment: High-toned, richly sweet-tart. Tea rose, peach, almond butter, oak, maple syrup in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart structure with bright, lively acidity; smooth, syrupy mouthfeel. The finish consolidates to notes of almond and maple syrup with tea rose gently resurfacing in the long.
Notes: Southern Ethiopia coffees like this one are largely produced from distinctive indigenous Ethiopian landrace varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. Processed by the natural method (sun-dried in the whole fruit). LECO coffee was founded in 1997, and has always pursued three core concepts: quality, professionalism and sustainability. The Bottom Line: Floral, fruit-driven, balanced and bright — a classic washed Sidamo cup.
