Blind Assessment: Notes of tea rose, honey and orange in the aroma. Long, sustained flavors in the small cup, displaying a deeper, more complex variation of the aroma profile (including brandied fruit, flowers and chocolate) with the flavors persisting in the long, sweet-toned finish. Lean but smooth mouthfeel. Retains impressive complexity in two parts milk: lemon and flowers softly layered on deeper chocolate, nut and caramel tones.
Notes: Grown in the area around Neji in the Sidamo growing region. Roasted specifically for espresso preparation, this Ethiopian coffee is a dry-processed or "natural" coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. Coffea Roasterie is a South Dakota based wholesale and retail roaster, with a small but refined selection of mostly single-origin coffees. Visit
Who Should Drink It: A single-origin espresso lavishly layered with flavor both as straight shot and in short milk.
