Delicately fruit-toned, sweetly herbaceous. Dried mango, cocoa nib, lemon verbena, almond, star jasmine in aroma and cup. Sweet-tart structure with gently bright acidity; full, viscous mouthfeel. Long, resounding flavor-saturated finish.
Produced from trees of largely indigenous landrace varieties of Arabica long grown in southern Ethiopia. This is a “natural” or dry-processed version, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or “washed” coffees. Kakalove Café is a nano-roaster located in the small city of Chia-Yi in Taiwan that strives to procure and roast the finest quality coffee. An impressive example of a cleanly dried-in-the-fruit or natural-processed Ethiopia coffee displaying both the complexity and depth associated with natural-processed Ethiopias with the spice-toned floral notes typical of washed-process versions.
