Blind Assessment:

Engaging, fruit-forward. Pink grapefruit zest, apricot, baker’s chocolate, magnolia-like flowers, licorice bark in aroma and cup. Juicy, brisk acidity; velvety-smooth mouthfeel. The richly drying finish is carried by dried fruit and licorice suggestions in the short, with a hint of magnolia returning in the long.


The Yirgacheffe region produces distinctive coffees from traditional varieties of Arabica long grown in the area. This is a “natural” or dry-processed version, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or “washed” coffees.
