Blind Assessment: Delicate, berry-toned, richly sweet. Raspberry, honey, narcissus-like flowers, cedar, almond butter in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart structure with juicy, high-toned acidity; lively, full mouthfeel. Resonant, flavor-saturated finish consolidates to notes of raspberry and almond, supported by sweet floral hints.
Notes: Coffees from the Yirgacheffe region are produced from distinctive, largely indigenous Ethiopian varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. This is a “natural” or dry-processed version, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit, encouraging a cup profile that is sweeter and deeper-toned than perhaps more familiar wet-processed Yirgacheffe profile. Quartet Kaffe is an artisan roastery in Taiwan founded in 2018, dedicated to pursuing coffee performance art and offering unique speciality coffee. The Bottom Line : A cleanly fruit-driven natural-processed Yirgacheffe cup, berry- and nut-toned with sweet florals throughout.
