Blind Assessment: Gently fruit-toned, sweetly tart. Plum, cocoa nib, lemon verbena, oak, maple syrup in aroma and cup. Crisp, high-toned with juicy acidity; satiny mouthfeel. The sweetly herbaceous finish is driven by lemon verbena and maple syrup notes with oak undertones.
Notes: Guji is nestled next to Ethiopia's better-known Yirgacheffe and Sidamo growing regions. Processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Sunny’s Coffee is a café and roastery in the Tochigi Prefecture specializing in craft-roasted coffees and house-made food. Visit sunnyscoffee.thebase.in for more information.
The Bottom Line: A friendly, accessible washed Ethiopia cup animated by delicate stone fruit, cocoa and sweet herb notes throughout.
