Blind Assessment
Juicy, crisp. Rich, brandy-toned blueberry, almond, honeysuckle, roasted cocoa nib in aroma and cup. Gently bright acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor carries well into a surprisingly sweet, balanced finish.
Notes
This is a dry-processed or "natural" coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. It is an unusually clean and classic version of the fruit-and-brandy-toned Ethiopia dried-in-the-fruit profile. Bent Tree is a small-batch coffee roaster located in Kent, Ohio, dedicated to pursuing an active role in all aspects of coffee. Visit
Who Should Drink It
Those who already know they enjoy the slightly fermented, fruit-toned Ethiopia dried-in-the-fruit profile will enjoy this clean, elegant rendition of the type. For those who have never experimented with the style, an excellent starting point.
