Blind Assessment: Balanced, delicate, floral-toned. Dogwood flowers, baking chocolate, apricot, cedar, agave syrup in aroma and cup. Sweet-toned with balanced acidity; satiny-smooth mouthfeel. Chocolaty, gently floral finish with a cedar throughline.
Notes: Guji is nestled next to Ethiopia's better-known Yirgacheffe and Sidamo growing regions. This is a natural-processed coffee (dried in the whole fruit). Sunny’s Coffee is a café and roastery in the Tochigi Prefecture specializing in craft-roasted coffees and house-made food. Visit sunnyscoffee.thebase.in for more information.
The Bottom Line: A natural-processed Guji characterized by pleasing aromatic wood notes complicated by stone fruit and chocolate.
