Blind Assessment: Notes of orange, caramel and cinnamon in aroma and cup. Straightforward with good intensity, elegant fruit-toned acidity, medium body and a silky mouthfeel. Flavors simplify in the finish, perhaps dampened by a slight hint of woody astringency.
Notes: Buddha’s Cup is grown on a farm called Buddha’s Sanctuary located on the edge of the Kahalu’u Reserve at an elevation of 2,200 feet. Coffee from Buddha’s Cup (“for the enlightened bean”) won the 2010 Gevalia Kona coffee competition. Visit
Who Should Drink It: Sweetness, fruit and spice from the famous Kona growing region.
