Blind Assessment

Evaluated as espresso. Richly chocolaty and floral-toned. Chocolate fudge, gardenia, almond, cedar, molasses in aroma and small cup. Crisp, satiny mouthfeel; finish consolidates to notes of chocolate fudge and gardenia with cedar undertones. In three parts milk, chocolate and gardenia notes are further amplified with hints of cedar and almond, as well.

Notes

A blend of washed-process coffees from Central America, South America and Africa roasted for espresso applications. Hsus Cafe, founded in 2014, is a specialty coffee roaster based in Taoyuan, Taiwan, owned and operated by the chief roaster, Chia-Ming Hsu, a Licensed Q-grader. Visit https://www.facebook.com/hsuscafe/ for more information.

Bottom Line

A bold, chocolaty espresso with a floral throughline that is especially rich-toned in cappucino-scaled milk.
