Flavia Beverage Systems
Espresso Roast (filterpack)
|Roaster Location:||West Chester, Pennsylvania|
|Coffee Origin:||Not disclosed|
|Roast Level:||Very Dark|
|Review Date:||January 2004|
Blind Assessment: Odd profile: simple, monotoned and woody in aroma, with some hints of cocoa and orange. In the cup very flat and herby, dominated by a bitter nut sensation. The finish is both monumentally bitter and extremely astringent.
Notes: This coffee is packaged in proprietary filterpacks for the Flavia SB100 single serve brewer. Flavia ("The Cafe of Choice") is a brand of Mars Incorporated, a large privately owned company that started with its now classic candies before adding pet food (Whiskas), people food (Uncle Ben's) and vending systems, including the Flavia SB100 home single-serve brewer.
