Blind Assessment: Evaluated as espresso. Deep, pungent, cedary. Fudgy dark chocolate, fresh-cut cedar, peach, hints of wisteria and vanilla in aroma and small cup. Creamy mouthfeel; cedar and chocolate carry into a rather drying finish. Particularly fine in three parts milk, where the chocolate richly dominates, nuanced by continued peach and cedar suggestions.
Notes: The roaster describes this as an ‘Italian Style’ espresso blend. Dragonfly Coffee is a Boulder, Colorado based micro-roaster that produces high-quality coffees and supports worthy causes. Visit www.dragonflycoffeeroasters.com or call 303-579-2154 for more information.
Who Should Drink It: The deep, sweetly pungent straight shot is particularly fine in cappuccino-sized milk.
