Blind Assessment
Heady brandy-like notes, complex fruit and crisp baker’s chocolate in aroma and cup. Balanced, gently juicy acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The chocolate note in particular carries into a quietly rich finish.
Notes
This is a dry-processed or "natural" coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. It was produced from trees of the red-fruited form of the heirloom Bourbon variety of Arabica. Calgary-based Fratello is a second-generation boutique coffee roaster owned by three brothers who focus on responsible trade relationships with coffee growers. Visit
