Blind Assessment: Subtle, round, quietly but deeply complex. Fresh-cut cedar, almond, pungent berry (elderberry, blackberry), tea rose, nutmeg. Round, resonantly brisk acidity; velvety mouthfeel. Rich, balanced, gently flavor-saturated finish.
Notes: This lot is comprised entirely of coffee from trees of the much-admired, bold-bean Pacamara variety of Arabica, a cross between the giant-beaned Maragogipe variety and Pacas, a selection of the heirloom Bourbon. Chalatenango is a smallish growing region near the border with Honduras. Namusairo is a boutique café and artisan roaster founded in Seoul, South Korea in 2002. Visit www.namusairo.com for more information.
Who Should Drink It: A superb, distinctive example of the deep, spicy and berry-toned complexity of the Pacamara variety.
