Blind Assessment: Sweetly bright, plush, floral. Rose, fresh-cut fir, peach, orange zest in aroma and cup. Quietly juicy acidity; satiny mouthfeel. The roses, peach and orange zest all resonate in a mildly drying but roundly balanced finish.
Notes: Produced entirely from trees of the traditional Typica variety of Arabica by Henry and Verena Gaibor, co-owners and operators of Finca Maputo. Nossa Familia Coffee is a Portland, Oregon-based roaster whose focus is on creating exceptional coffee by way of building exceptional relationships. The Bottom Line: A classic Latin American cup, suavely balanced in structure, quietly complete in aromatics.
