Decaf Pike Place Roast
|Roaster Location:||Seattle, Washington|
|Coffee Origin:||Various Latin American origins.|
|Est. Price:||$12.95/12 ounces|
|Review Date:||August 2015|
Blind Assessment: Woody, complex roast pungency. Mildly scorched cedar, carob, sassafras, musk in aroma and cup. Roast-rounded, gently bittersweet acidity; full but slightly rough mouthfeel. The finish is sweet though heavy, a little cottony.
Notes: No decaffeination method is indicated on bag or website, so most likely this coffee was decaffeinated using a method involving a solvent to remove the caffeine. For further information visit www.starbucks.com.
Who Should Drink It: Should satisfy decaf drinkers who enjoy moderately dark-roasted coffees, despite – or perhaps because of – the odd but intense aroma and flavor, heavy with pungent, woody sweetness.
