Blind Assessment

Deep, rich, sweetly herbaceous. Heavy cream, sweet herb melange, caramel, Meyer lemon, the aroma of oak forest in aroma and cup. Gentle, round acidity; plump mouthfeel. Fades gracefully to bittersweet herb notes.

Notes

Produced by John Vergara of Finca Las Flores, entirely of the Yellow Bourbon variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed anaerobic process with the addition of mint leaves to the fermentation step. Founded in 1995 by Brooke McDonnell and Helen Russell, Equator Coffees operates retail stores in the San Francisco Bay Area and Southern California and provides coffee to hundreds of wholesale accounts. Visit www.equatorcoffees.com or call 800-809-7687 for more information.

Bottom Line

A uniquely composed mint-macerated Colombia that’s balanced, sweetly herbal and floral and quite subtle in its complex sweetness
