Blind Assessment: Rich-toned, deeply aromatic. Dark chocolate, hop flowers, brown sugar, orange zest, hazelnut in aroma and cup. Bittersweet structure with gentle, round acidity; velvety mouthfeel. Chocolaty finish with undertones of orange zest and hazelnut.
Notes: Produced by Oswal Yovanny Rodriguez Guevara of Finca La Victoria entirely from trees of the Castillo variety and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and flesh are removed from the beans before they are dried). The Bottom Line: A richly sweet, lingeringly aromatic Colombia cup with bittersweet floral notes.
