Blind Assessment: Deep, balanced, intense. Nut, flowers, stonefruit, sweet cocoa in aroma and cup. Sweetly crisp acidity; lively, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The balance and completeness that characterizes the entire profile stretches into a long, resonant swoon of a finish.
Notes: Produced by Yaneth Gil in the admired high-elevation coffee growing community of Monserrate. Victrola is a small-batch, hands-on roaster with a passionate commitment to quality and distinctiveness. Visit www.victrolacoffee.com or call 206-624-1725 for more information.
Who Should Drink It: Breakfast classicists. This is a complete Colombia coffee, the kind I recall we used to get more often, balanced and flawless in virtually every respect.
