Blind Assessment
Subtly complex, richly spice-toned. Brown sugar, apple blossom, date, allspice, fresh pipe tobacco in aroma and cup. Bright, vibrant, balanced in structure; crisp, velvety-smooth mouthfeel. The flavor-saturated finish leads with sweet floral and fruit tones in the short modulating to tobacco and spice in the long.
Notes
Produced by Daniel Ortega of Finca Buenos Aires from trees of the Caturra and Castillo varieties of Arabica. Processed by the wet or washed method (fruit skin and pulp are removed before drying). Branch Street Coffee Roasters is a small-batch specialty coffee roaster in Youngstown, Ohio. Under the careful eye of owner/roaster Matthew Campbell, each coffee is individually profiled and cupped to ensure peak flavor and consistency.Visit www.branchstreetcoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A rich, complex, rather atypical Colombia coffee that deepens as you linger with the cup: bright but resonant, deeply spice-toned.
