Blind Assessment: (As brewed in a Keurig 2.0 K500 Series single-serve brewing device at a 6-ounce serving size). Crisply sweet, caramelly. Malt, burnt caramel, almond, lily-like flowers, cherry in aroma and cup. Balanced, gently brisk acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The richly drying short finish consolidates around caramel and almond in the long.
Notes: This coffee is certified organically grown and Fair Trade Certified, meaning it was purchased from small-holding farmers at a “fair” or economically sustainable price. Keurig/Green Mountain, formerly Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, pioneered single-serve capsule brewing in the United States with its Keurig brewing system, and offers a particularly wide-ranging variety of origins and roast styles for use in its sophisticated 2.0 brewing system. The Bottom Line : A crisp yet deeply sweet, caramel-toned K-cup Peru with impressive environmental and socio-economic credentials.
