Blind Assessment: Cedar, plum, almond, and a delicate, sweet-toned dark chocolate in aroma and cup. The chocolate moves forward and gracefully dominates in the cup. Soft, roast-rounded acidity; silky mouthfeel. Chocolate sweetness balances a slight roasty astringency in the finish.
Notes: This big-beaned, super-premium version of Kona Café’s 100 percent Kona is offered at the darker end of a medium-dark roast. Kona Café is an award-winning coffee farm that sells roasted versions of its 100 percent Kona coffee under the Naupaka as well as the Kona Café brand. Visit
Who Should Drink It: Balanced, medium-dark-roasted Kona with the chocolate and easy comfort associated with this famous origin.
