Blind Assessment: Crisp, balanced, roasty. Dark chocolate, raisin, peppery aromatic wood, a hint of flowers in aroma and cup. Acidity is round and roast-muted; mouthfeel is medium in weight but slightly lean in texture. Chocolate prevails in a sweet-toned, balanced finish.
Notes: Sold and assessed in pre-ground format. This coffee is part of the WaterWise Coffee initiative, which focuses on improving water access, conservation and purity in coffee-producing countries. Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy a discreetly roast-muted version of the floral- and fruit-toned Ethiopia profile at a very attractive price.
