Evaluated at proportions of 5 grams of instant coffee powder mixed with 8.5 ounces (250 ml) of hot water. Crisp, sweet/tart. Cocoa, faint mango, lemon zest, sandalwood in aroma and cup. Sweet/savory in structure; delicate but smooth in mouthfeel. Hints of citrus and cocoa animate a sweet short finish, with a slight salty edge surfacing in the long.

Richly sweet, spice-toned. Ripe banana, roasted cacao nib, elm, freesia-like flowers, roasted cashew in aroma and cup. Roundly sweet-tart structure; lightly velvety mouthfeel. The crisp, richly drying finish consolidates around notes of cashew, cacao nib and a hint of spicy florals.

Still another solid, deep Sumatra, but lacking range or dimension. Clean, one-dimensional, with little resonance in the heart of the coffee or shimmer around the edges. The aromatics seemed a bit tired; perhaps the problem here is a loss of aromatics in shipping.
