Reviews for Uncle Beanz
Very sweet and honeyish. Almondy nut, crisp baker’s chocolate, peach- and apricot-toned fruit in aroma and cup. Roundly gentle acidity; impressively smooth, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The sweetness carries decisively into the finish, though a slight bitterish astringency shadows the long.
Robust, earthy blend. Aromatic wood, roasted nut and earth notes in both aroma and cup. The nut note turns a bit rawish in the cup, but everything smoothes and plumps up nicely in a rich finish. Backgrounded acidity, full mouthfeel.
Straightforward aroma with good intensity, exhibiting aromatic pine wood and a soft but pungent suggestion of smokiness. In the cup soft acidity, full body, smooth mouthfeel and round sweet flavors of toasted nut, mild roastiness and caramelized sugars. The roasty note turns toward pungency in the finish, distracting slightly from the sweetness.
Deep, sweet-toned aroma, rich with distinct dark chocolate and hints of orange and cedar. In the cup smooth, well-integrated acidity, medium body, supple mouthfeel, and a sweet, restrained fruit ferment note that reads as dark chocolate, cedar, ripe orange. Clean, deep, long finish.
Simple, balanced, quietly rich coffee. Sweet-toned and gently pungent in the cup with silky mouthfeel and limited but pleasing nuance: hints of chocolate, banana-like fruit, honeyish flowers.
