Blind Assessment
Crisply chocolaty, sweetly nut-toned. Baking chocolate, cashew butter, red apple, magnolia, fresh-cut oak in aroma and cup. Briskly sweet acidity; satiny-smooth mouthfeel. Chocolaty, sweetly nutty finish.
Notes
Fifth Heaven Coffee (Café Quinto Cielo in Spanish) is produced at Hacienda Tierra Viva in Puerto Rico by Laura Rivera and Blake Horwitz, from trees of the Limani, Fronton, Bourbon and Typica varieties of Arabica, processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit, and is roasted on the farm. Produced regeneratively and without the use of pesticides. Visit www.haciendatierraviva.com for more information.
Bottom Line
This comforting, familiar cup profile is classic Puerto Rico: crisply chocolaty, richly nutty, with floral undertones.
