Blind Assessment
Richly spice-toned, multilayered. Red plum, nutmeg, pomelo, cocoa nib, amber in aroma and cup. Gently sweet-tart acidity; plump, viscous mouthfeel. Finish leads with warming spices and crisp cocoa nib.
Notes
Produced by Eudoro Guillen, from trees of the Caturra, Catuai and Catimor varieties of Arabica, and processed by the carbonic maceration method, which involves fermenting the whole fruit in a sealed container that has been flushed with CO2, then drying in the whole fruit.Old World Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster with cafes in Reno and Carson City, Nevada. Bottom Line
An exciting carbonic-maceration Nicaragua that displays notes of bright stone fruit grounded by cocoa nib and warm baking spices.
