Blind Assessment
Evaluated as espresso. Chocolaty, richly nut-toned. Dark chocolate, almond butter, Meyer lemon zest, pink peppercorn, fir in aroma and small cup. Velvety-smooth mouthfeel; chocolaty, nut-driven finish. In cappuccino-scaled milk, notes of dark chocolate and pink peppercorn commingle with fir.

Produced by smallholding farmers and decaffeinated in Colombia using ethyl acetate, a solvent derived from sugar cane. Side By Each Brewing Co. is a community gathering place to enjoy coffee, beer, food and music. The company closed permanently in December 2024.
Bottom Line
A solid Colombia decaf espresso processed by the “sugar cane” method, with a gentle, chocolaty, richly sweet-toned profile in the straight shot and in milk.
