Quite sweet; gently bright. Honeysuckle-like flowers, tangerine, macadamia-like nut, roasted cacao nib in aroma and cup. Softly bright, quietly juicy acidity; delicately full, silky mouthfeel. Flower, nut and cacao notes all carry into a smooth, sweetly tart finish.
Sweet-toned, quiet, balanced. Fresh-cut cedar, caramel, raisin, hints of orange and honeysuckle-like flowers in aroma and cup. Gently brisk, round, cedary acidity; syrupy mouthfeel. Cedar and orange carry into a gently drying finish.
Sweet, soft, balanced. Cocoa, walnut, malted grain, a hint of flowers in aroma and cup. Round, quiet acidity; light, satiny mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates around cacao and walnut in a gently delicate finish.
Woody, complex roast pungency. Mildly scorched cedar, carob, sassafras, musk in aroma and cup. Roast-rounded, gently bittersweet acidity; full but slightly rough mouthfeel. The finish is sweet though heavy, a little cottony.
Fresh-cut pine, herb and a rounding hint of raisiny dark chocolate in aroma and cup. Muted, herby acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. Sweet-toned though simple finish.
(As brewed in a Keurig B70 Platinum single-serve brewing device using a "K-Cup" capsule to produce a 6-ounce serving). Roasted nut, chocolate, banana-like fruit, night-blooming flowers in aroma and, more distinctly, in the cup. Round, softly tart acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor simplifies but sustains in a clean, balanced finish.
(As brewed in a Keurig B70 Platinum single-serve brewing device using a Keurig-compatible capsule to produce a 6-ounce serving): Pungently sweet, gently roasty. Scorched wood, a hint of dark chocolate, prune, and a peppery savory note in aroma and cup. Round, fruit-toned acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Simple though rather rich finish.
Distinct sweetly tart fruit notes (grapefruit, passion fruit, guava), pungent fresh-cut fir, with rounding hints of chocolate and plum in aroma and cup. Quiet, delicate acidity; light but smoothly silky mouthfeel. Sweet, long, gently flavor-saturated finish.
Evaluated as espresso. Richly and rather tartly bright in aroma and small cup: fresh-cut fir and tangerine-like citrus are rounded by a honey- and chocolate-toned sweetness. Impressively full, syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is tartly bright but smooth. Retains character in two- to four-parts milk with a dry chocolate dominating.
Straightforward, muted, sweet. Caramel, candied pecan, fresh alfalfa, a hint of orange zest in aroma and cup. Round, quiet acidity; smooth, lightly creamy mouthfeel. Clean, crisply sweet finish.
Evaluated as espresso. Balanced, sweet-toned aroma: almond, milk chocolate, apricot. Round, syrupy mouthfeel. In the cup a pungent cedar moves forward softened by continued milk chocolate and apricot. The chocolate persists in a slightly heavyish, savory-toned finish. In two parts milk, however, the chocolate rounds nicely, turning minty and deeply fruit-toned.
Evaluated as espresso. Sweet-toned and quietly complex: pungent fir and dark chocolate dominate, with top-note hints of lemon and flowers. Mouthfeel is smooth if slightly lean; cleanly rich, straightforward finish. At best in two parts milk, where the chocolate softens and rounds to fill out the milk nicely, complicated by continued suggestions of lemon and fir.
Deep, rich, balanced when hot. Fresh-cut fir, milk chocolate and an apricot-like fruit in the aroma; in the cup the chocolate turns crisper and more cocoa-like and the fruit more lemony. Softly round acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor fades in the finish, though the pleasing chocolate note persists.
Bright, sweetly tart. Distinct orange-toned nut in the aroma. In the cup, delicate acidity, leanish but smooth mouthfeel, and continued rich orange, cocoa and nut notes carrying into a flavor-saturated finish that turns rather woody and simple as the cup cools.
Sweet-toned aroma and flavor: caramel, dark chocolate, aromatic wood and a hint of fruit. Soft but distinct acidity and a round, silky mouthfeel. A richly sweet short finish gives way to a slightly papery astringency in the long.
Softly roasty aroma with hints of aromatic wood and molasses. Smooth, balanced and chocolaty in the cup with complications of orange and fresh-cut wood. Simplifies in the finish with the wood note lingering.
Sweet, rich, almost fermenty fruit character. In the aroma dark chocolate, molasses, raisin and a hint of fresh-cut fir. In the cup backgrounded acidity, syrupy mouthfeel, continued raisiny chocolate and pungent fir notes. Simplifies as the cup cools.
Nut and fresh-cut wood dominate the delicate aroma, softened by a hint of chocolate. In cup and finish the cocoaish chocolate becomes richer and more explicit, though a faint woody flatness (probably decaffeination-related) continues to haunt the cup. Attractive, lightly syrupy mouthfeel.
Delicately rich and fruit-toned. In the aroma distinct cocoaish chocolate complicated by fresh-cut fir. In the cup soft, wine-like acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel, and continued fruit-inflected chocolate. A very slight sourish note (probably decaffeination-related) turns up as the cup cools, compromising an otherwise long, resonant finish.
Poised and balanced aroma with hints of sweet wood, cocoa, raisiny fruit. Gently rich acidity, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. In the cup quiet sweet; the cocoaish chocolate intensifies, supported by a hint of the rich, carnal aroma of night flowers. Clean finish; the cocoa note intensifies in the long.
