Blind Assessment
Fruity, rich-toned, balanced. Yellow plum, cocoa nib, lemon verbena, agave syrup, lime zest in aroma and cup. Bright, juicy acidity; crisp, lightly satiny mouthfeel. Cocoa-toned finish with notes of yellow plum and lime zest.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers, from trees of the Catuai, Caturra, Bourbon, Pache Colis and Geisha varieties of Arabica, in partnership with Gold Mountain Coffee Growers, and processed by the natural method (dried in the whole fruit). Steel Oak Coffee is a community-driven, small-batch specialty roaster based in Ormond Beach, Florida. Visit www.steeloakcoffee.com for more information.
Bottom Line
A natural-process Nicaragua roasted with confident restraint — fruit-forward and pleasingly complex.
